Doug Biggerstaff is more than the owner of Art Douglas Plumbing — he’s a second-generation tradesman, a seasoned expert, and a trusted name in the Fresno/Clovis plumbing community.
Since the age of 16, Doug has been working in the plumbing industry, learning the trade under the guidance of his father, Art Biggerstaff, who founded Art Douglas Plumbing back in 1971. By 1994, Doug had earned his California contractor’s license and officially stepped into the leadership role — carrying forward the family business with the same commitment to quality, trust, and fair pricing that it was built on.
Over 30 Years of Licensed Experience
Doug holds a California C-36 plumbing contractor’s license (#699348), and formerly held a Master Plumber license in Texas. His field expertise spans every corner of residential and commercial plumbing — from new construction and repiping to slab leak inspections, water heater installations, and gas line repairs.
Before taking over the family business, Doug managed large teams of plumbers and HVAC techs for one of the region’s largest service companies. He also served as a national plumbing trainer for Contractor Success Group, where he taught other contractors how to properly diagnose and repair plumbing systems across the country.

You might find Doug on his Harley, enjoying a long ride through the Valley — or out in the wild, tracking big game. A husband and proud father, Doug’s roots run deep in Fresno, where he continues to support the local community both as a business owner and a neighbor.
